text Eva Grant is a small company based in the highlands of Scotland which works in partnership with local development groups in Lao, Thailand and India to produce ethical collections of classic and stylish garments made from their traditionally produced fabrics. These groups are chosen because of their ethical principles as well as their abilities to produce beautiful textiles. The aim of these groups is to provide individuals with choices and to empower them to be self-sufficient. In some cases the textile production is central to this aim, in others it is a small part of a more complex picture. In many cases education and training in textile production and also other areas, is given. We also work with individual crafts-people who are maintaining traditional skills both here and abroad.
