| Haberdash House is created by Marie Liddel and puts the fun into fashion and creates quirky pendants and brooches, using both cutting edge technology such as laser-cutting as well as more traditional skills like hand embroidery. Inspiration is taken from objects and events in everyday life, people and memories, in order to create original and interesting concepts. The end products often have a charming feel to them and bring joy to the wearer and those around them. Marie Liddell's first range is based on a make-believe story about a group of animals on holiday in New York. As the animals become more immersed into the New York culture, they develop into more colourful creatures and start to stand out from the crowd. The designs for the range are based on drawings of silhouettes of animals as well as patterns found within the urban New York landscape. |
